Does you son or daugheer use the library computer? I was searching for “sleeping children around the world plastic mat directions” using “bing” and was shocked to find a porn site link pop up on the first search page.
Later to my great concern, a 9 year-old seated beside me proceeded to play a sexual torture “game”. I alerted the librarian and was told the library has no safe guards against pornography on its computers and informed “that’s why parents are required to sign a form allowing their children to use the computers.”
I was astounded. As a parent I signed such a form for my daughter to use the internet, thinking that the library would have at least somewhat of a filter on their system.
We really need to protect our kids from horrible things that twisted minds place on the internet. Before your child uses the local library computer, or any other computer without parental supervision, find out specifically what measures are in place to protect your child.
